RNC boycotts MSNBC for race-baiting tweet

One of liberals’ favorite ways to shut down discourse is to accuse conservatives–all of them–of being “racist.” We’ve learned to roll our eyes and ignore it, such as when liberals say that anyone opposed to amnesty for illegals is “racist.” But after MSNBC sent out a tweet implying that all “right-wingers” hate interracial families, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said enough is enough.

That’s right: all Republicans supposedly hate the cute little family featured in a set of Cheerios ads. At least according to MSNBC,:  which tweeted that “right-wingers” wouldn’t like the latest ad. In response, Priebus wrote:

We can have our political disagreements with MSNBC, but using biracial families to launch petty and ridiculous political attacks is low, even by MSNBC’s standards. It only coarsens our political discourse.: MSNBC hosts–including Alec Baldwin, Martin Bashir, Melissa Harris-Perry, Alex Wagner, and Ronan Farrow just to name a few–have had a troubling streak in the last several weeks of making comments that belittle and demean Americans without furthering any thoughtful dialogue.

For what it’s worth, MSNBC president Phil Griffin did apologize, and the staffer who wrote the Tweet was fired. Maybe MSNBC will think again before lobbing nasty accusations, but I doubt it.
