Surprise! Obama Lied: Two States Receiving Tax Money for Abortions

Original post at 73wire.com[1] I know others have covered this, but I want to drive the point home: there are no prolife, conservative Democrats. They have gone the way of the dodo bird.

Yep, we all said that: executive order[2] was: a useless piece of paper.:  And we were right[3]:

Boehner and other Republicans point to reports that the Health and Human Services Department is giving Pennsylvania $160 million to set up a new high-risk insurance pool that will cover any abortion that is legal in the state.

Additionally, I reported[4] that a second payout of taxpayer monies has been released to fund abortions in New Mexico:

NRLC legislative director Douglas Johnson informed LifeNews.com of the first set and spoke with Kathryn Lopez of National Review about the abortion funding in the western state.

He said New Mexico state officials have put together a new $37 million high-risk pool that will begin enrolling members on July 1 and they will begin receiving benefits August 1 — including federal funding for elective abortions according to the state insurance department’s website. After the insured pays the deductible, taxpayer dollars from the federal government cover the remaining 80 percent.

“HHS has been hiding most of these high-risk plans, including the plan that HHS will administer directly in 21 states. Of the four state plans we’ve managed to ferret out, two provided coverage of essentially all abortions – Pennsylvania and New Mexico,” Johnson told National Review.

Maybe Bart Stupak (Democrat Prolife Sellout, MI) should revise and extend his remarks[5] from March 2010:

“This executive order followed the principle of the sanctity of life, and was applauded and welcomed by the pro-life community,” said Stupak, a nine-term House member who recently announced that he would not run for re-election. “That these same people would now claim President Obama’s executive order maintaining that same principle is not worth the paper it is written on is disingenuous.”

Disingenuous, Bart? The only person disingenuous here is President Obama.:  Obama knew that this executive order was worthless, which is why he signed it in the first place. Why else do you think the pro-abortion community piped down–the administration reassured them that they would receive their funding and they have begun to do so.

While Stupak will be long gone come January, I want to drive home the main point::  Stupak proved–once again–that the Democrat party are a bunch of sellouts and there are NO prolife, conservative: Democrats.: : : The Stupak 11 group of: so-called prolife Blue Dog Democrats were America’s last chance to kill the bill before passage.:  Instead of killing the bill, Stupak and the: 11 swing Democrat votes killed the unborn.

Remember in November, Bart Stupak is not on the ticket, but conservative Dan Benishek is[6]; see to it that he wins Michigan.
