The Left and Right Agree on Pres. Obama’s Oval Office Speech
Written By : Kathleen McKinley

I think Pres. Obama’s speech last night is best summed up by my 13 year old (who truly has a heart of gold). He said, “I feel sorry for Obama.” I asked why. He said, “Because he can’t seem to do anything right.”

That’s not only the feeling for this speech, but it seems to be the feelings of the political left and right. When Obama has lost Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, AND Joan Walsh, you know he’s in trouble. Oblermann reacted, “I don’t sense executive command.” Gee, ya think?

Obama’s answer seems to be to appoint a czar. Unless that czar is Bobby Jindal, I don’t think that is going to work either.

The problem with the oil spill disaster is that Obama is doing everything NOW that he should have done within about a week of the spill. In my opinion, this is simply part of being a rookie. We simply can never again elect someone who lacks experience to the toughest job in the world.

If you read through the Joan Walsh link, you will see that the problem the left has with Obama is that he isn’t left enough, fast enough. The problem Obama has is that he is smart enough to know that the country does not want to go that far left. He’d love to, I’m sure. But he doesn’t want to commit political suicide. He wants incremental change to the left. The kind no one notices until it’s too late and he is long gone as President. He has seen what happens when he goes too fast. A powerful movement called the Tea Party begins to fight back. So he’s stuck. Wandering in that place where there are no principles.

My son wasn’t being sarcastic. He honestly feels sorry for Obama. You know what? I do too.

Update: It seems that Obama has also lost that leader in the news, Jon Stewart:

You know what? I DON”T feel sorry for Obama. I feel sorry for America.

Obama wanted this job. He actively campaigned for it (neglating his state Senator duties for 2 years). Such is a living example of the old phrase, “be careful what you wish for – you might get it.”

I feel sorry for America. For Americans who were duped. Who were sold a bill-of-goods in an empty suit. Sold by a media which long ago sold its soul and is only know starting to wake up to the fraud which is Obama.

Maybe in the future Americans will understand the importance of experience for the individual filling the position of President. The the President of the United States is not a figurehead position. Maybe, but I'm not holding my breath. The November elections are 4 1/2 months away. The attention span of the average American voter is 3 days.

Nope. No sympathy here. He applied for this job on the ground that he was so much SMARTER than Bush. He got it due to brainless clowns who looked at skin color & change rather than substance. I feel sorry for us. I feel sorry for the British. I feel sorry for everyone this man has given the shaft. But feel sorry for the one who is causing the problems? No.

    I don't sense executive command.

Herr Olbermann is a bit slow on the uptake, don't you think? I mean loads of people were saying the same thing about Mr. Obama fully two years before the election. No executive experience, and no sense of executive command.

But I'll tell you what, buddy, he could run the holy sh*t out of a campaign, donchaknow!

What Lee, Slveryder and Martin said…

Wow, I never thought I'd see the day Jon Stewart would actually make fun of Barry.

And the other day he defended republicans in the whole alvin greene scandal.

The dems are in more trouble than I had thought if even Jon Stewart is willing to take them down a peg.

Obama is getting exactly what he wants, why do you feel sorry for someone accomplishing their goals?
