The Real Problem With The Environment Is The Number Of Living Americans

Republicans don’t like breathing dirty air and drinking polluted water any more than other people despite what you may hear from the left, so why doesn’t the GOP get the credit that we deserve for taking care of the environment?

Simple.

Because the people on the left, in the environmentalist movement, care more about the environment than we do and everyone, even conservatives, acknowledge it. Of course, they care more about the environment because they take environmentalism practically to the point of mental illness.

For example, take the “fine fellows” over at “Californians for Population Stabilization.”

“Human population growth is the paramount environmental issue,” Ric Oberlink, a spokesman for Californians for Population Stabilization, told Cybercast News Service.

“Global warming is a very serious problem, but it is a subset of the overpopulation problem,” he said.

…”Many have noted the disproportionate impact of America on greenhouse emissions and rightly called for reduced emissions. But it’s hypocritical to say that the problem is that Americans consume too much and then say it doesn’t matter how many Americans there are.”

According to the population group, Americans are “by far the most voracious consumers and the greatest producers of greenhouse gases per capita of any nation on earth.”

And the U.S. population, it says, “has been doubling every 40 years and is headed for one billion before the end of this century.”

“No matter how clever and inventive human technology can be, it will be overwhelmed by the explosive multiplication of unrelenting population growth,” asserted Randy Alcorn, a senior writing fellow at Californians for Population Stabilization.

“While it may be beneficial to replace incandescent light bulbs with fluorescent light bulbs, it would be more effective towards salvaging the planet to turn on light bulbs in minds darkened by political expediency and religious dogma,” he said.

“Those who surrender reason to religious and political doctrine and push the rubble of their misguided convictions into the path of prudent population reduction policies are complicit in condemning an entire planet to doom,” said Alcorn.”

As long as the environmental movement is heavily seeded with nuts of this sort, Republicans will never be considered to be a “green” party, no matter what we do. After all, you’re not ever going to actually see right wingers advocating the reduction of the American population so as not to put too much of a burden on our earth mother, Gaia.

PS: That being said, this kook gives me an idea. I wonder if environmental groups would support strong border enforcement, no guest worker program, and no legalization of illegals based on the fact that illegal aliens are a greater burden on the earth living in the United States than they would be if they were living in dirt floored shacks in their own countries. You’ve got to admit, it makes a certain kind of sense from their perspective.

PS #2: Don’t people like Randy Alcorn & Ric Oberlink remind you of the nut who unleashed a plague in 12 monkeys? Can’t you just see these lunatics trying to figure out how to create a biological weapon so they could “save the planet” by depopulating the world?
