This Low Point In The History Of American Governance Is Brought To You By The Democratic Party

“Senate Democratic leaders intend to unveil a plan next week to repeal the 2002 resolution authorizing the war in Iraq in favor of narrower authority that restricts the military’s role and begins withdrawals of combat troops.

House Democrats have pulled back from efforts to link additional funding for the war to strict troop-readiness standards after the proposal came under withering fire from Republicans and from their party’s own moderates. That strategy was championed by Rep. John P. Murtha (D-Pa.) and endorsed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).”

The race is now officially on, folks.

The Democrats have concluded that they’ll be helped more by an American defeat in Iraq than an American victory. So, with that in mind, they’re doing their part here in the states to help the terrorists and militias defeat the U.S. military in Iraq before the American public realizes that the surge is working and support for the war increases.

Does that sound inflammatory? Yes. But, is it also a very accurate description of what Democrats like John Murtha, Nancy Pelosi, and John Kerry want to do? Yes, it is.
