A 12 Year Old Conservative Blogger Explains: “What I Love About America”

I just came across this old assignment from when I was 9 years old. I was assigned to answer ‘What the Constitution Means to Me’. Here is what I wrote:

Gabriel Deacon 2014

“What the Constitution means to me”: by Gabe (in my own 4th grade spelling, I’ve improved)

It means my life, country and my happiness. If we didn’t have the constitution we would be like Cuba. and if you don’t know about Cuba all tell you a little about it. Once Cuba was butiful just like the U.S.A. then some bad people took over, Just like my moms friend Nina Pellegrini said: (she lived in Cuba)”Evrey little… thing was a pebble, the people ignored those little pebbles and those little pebbles became stones and those stones became boulders And soon the people couldn’t move at all, they are so controlled!” And I don’t want that to happen to are country! Even are constitution is being chiped away by the government! We must stand gaurd!

Gabe what the constitution means

What I love most about America is the freedom she gives or the right to make my own life, opportunities that you can’t get anywhere else and the Constitution. If we didn’t have freedom as described in the US Constitution, we would be like Cuba or East Germany that were destroyed because of dependence on government. The US Constitution is our country’s backbone, because without that our nation would have never become as industrious and powerful as it is today. I was born and raised in America and the freedom we have here is part of who I am!
