Will We Allow The Americans Who Fell At The WTC To Be Disrespected By An Ahmadinejad Visit?

It is an absolute outrage that an anti-American, pro-terrorist piece of garbage like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad[1] will be allowed to visit Ground Zero.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad could still visit ground zero during his visit to the United States, despite a decision from authorities to reject the controversial leader’s request to do so, security officials said Wednesday.

Ahmadinejad had asked to visit ground zero Monday at 10 a.m., officials told WNBC.com. New York officials have said the Iranian President will not be allowed to go down to “the pit.”

However, security officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, admitted that at this point, if Ahmadinejad attends the U.N. General Assembly in New York as planned, there may be little U.S. officials can do to prevent him from visiting the area of the Sept. 11 attacks.

…Ahmadinejad had asked this month for permission to visit the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, NYPD police spokesman Paul Browne said.

The request to enter the fenced-in site was rejected because of ongoing construction there, Browne said.

…The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Zalmay Khalilzad, told reporters Wednesday that the United States would not support Iran’s attempt to use the site for a “photo op.”

“Iran can demonstrate its seriousness about concern with regard to terrorism by taking concrete actions,” such as dropping support for Lebanese militant group Hezbollah and suspending their uranium enrichment program, Khalilzad said.

Browne said Ahmadinejad had asked permission from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, U.S. Secret Service and police department. The police and the Secret Service provide security to visiting heads of state.

The Port Authority, which owns the trade center site and is the only agency that could grant him permission to go inside, said it never received such a request, contradicting the police statement.

“We have not been asked to accommodate the president of Iran,” Port Authority spokesman Steve Coleman said.

It wasn’t clear whether Ahmadinejad wanted to descend to the base of the trade center site, where the twin towers once stood, or lay a wreath on a public sidewalk outside the site.

Telephone calls to the Iranian Mission to the United Nations were not immediately returned.

White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe said a visit to ground zero “is a matter for the city of New York, but it seems more than odd that the president of a country that is a state sponsor of terror would visit ground zero.”

First of all, Gordon Johndroe is wrong. This is a matter that the White House should be dealing with. They could block Ahmadinejad from entering the country in the first place or tell the Secret Service to refuse to allow him to go to ground zero.

If Bush doesn’t have the moral fortitude to do that, then Michael Bloomberg should refuse to cooperate. Instead of cooperating with that dirty, son of a b*tch Ahmadinejad, put a wall of New York’s finest between him and ground zero.

Hell, all it would really take is for someone to make a single phone call to the press once a time and date was set and such an ugly mob of New Yorkers would descend on the site that his handlers wouldn’t risk his life by letting him in the area.

Long story short, this isn’t some uncontrollable act of God, it’s the leader of a tinpot terrorist nation disrespecting the Americans who died on that site by trying to use them for a propaganda effort and he can’t do it without the help of the Bush administration and New York City.

Under no circumstances imaginable should they allow Ahmadinejad anywhere near ground zero. It’s disrespectful to America, to the people who died on 9/11 and their families, and to our troops in Iraq who are being targeted by this worthless piece of human debris.
