UN Secretary-General Calls for Global Socialism

Eventually we will have to stop laughing at the United Nations and take this absurd, contemptible, but menacing organization seriously as the greatest threat to global freedom since the demise of the Soviet Union. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is calling for Obama-style wealth redistribution on a global scale:

The United Nations, which marked a “World Day of Social Justice” on Sunday, Feb. 20, is calling for a “new era” in which all the people of the world have access to basic services and “decently” paying jobs.

“Social justice” is a euphemism for oligarchical collectivism, which also goes by the names socialism and communism.

According to the U.N., 80 percent of the world’s people lack “adequate social protection.”

To eliminate the problem, the U.N. is trying to establish what it calls a global “social protection floor.” Such a “floor” would guarantee food security, health services for all, and old-age pensions for the 80 percent of the world’s people believed to lack such protections.

The pensions of our own public sector employees are sinking entire states into bankruptcy. How are American taxpayers going to afford them for the whole planet?

Like a loan shark, Ki-moonbat couldn’t care less where we get the money, so long as we cough it up.

In his message urging “social justice for all,” U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said, “No one should live below a certain income level, and everyone should have access to essential public services such as water and sanitation, health and education.”

Imagine being enslaved not just to greedy public sector unions and the vampires in Washington, but to the hostile kleptocrats who dominate the United Nations. Our standard of living would sink to Third-World levels to pay for new palaces for socialist dictators, while sanctimonious milquetoast-munching thugs congratulate themselves on PBS and NPR for approving of it all.

Preparing for the unlikely event that our own entitlement programs don’t manage to collapse the US economy in the near future, the UN has come up with four global entitlements:

— basic income security for children;
— access to some social assistance for people of working age that prevents them from falling into absolute food poverty;
— a basic old-age pension for people over a certain age;
— and essential health services for all.

Not even Ben Bernanke could print money fast enough to pay for these utopian collectivist pipedreams. The objective is to cause America’s death by exsanguination.
