United Nations Demands We Phase Out Fossil Fuels “Almost Entirely by 2100”

The United Nation’s IPCC has decreed that fossil fuels, which provide the vast majority of the energy we need to sustain our population, must be phased out by 2100 in the name of bogus global warming ideology:

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says in a stark report that most of the world’s electricity can – and must – be produced from low-carbon sources by 2050. …

The IPCC’s Synthesis Report was published on Sunday in Copenhagen, after a week of intense debate between scientists and government officials.

It is intended to inform politicians engaged in attempts to deliver a new global treaty on climate by the end of 2015.

Tomorrow is our chance to elect a Senate that will know better than commit economic suicide by signing such a treaty.

The report suggests renewables will have to grow from their current 30% share to 80% of the power sector by 2050.

In the longer term, the report states that fossil fuel power generation without carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology would need to be “phased out almost entirely by 2100”.

By then, if the world situation continues to deteriorate, the malevolent UN might have the power to impose this kind of lunacy. The inevitably fluctuating climate might even start warming again, providing these totalitarians with support from something other than phony computer models that don’t pass the laugh test in light of actual temperature trends.

At least our would-be overlords have given some thought to our transportation needs:
