You’re never too old to have some fun in the snow — at least, not according to this World War II vet! Claude Bratcher decided he wasn’t going to let his grandkids have all the fun, and decided to go sledding with his dog running by his side.

According to WBIR, Bratcher was watching his great-grandkids, ages five through 17, go sledding in Meigs County, Tennessee, on Thursday.

After watching them enjoy riding around for a while, Bratcher decided he’d give it a try himself, a move that shocked and delighted his family.

Bratcher served in World War II as a member of the 122nd U.S. Naval Construction Battalion, and he’s still going strong.

People always seem to ask these elderly vets what the secret to long life is, and maybe it’s as simple as this. Maybe all people need to do is learn to enjoy life more, like Bratcher obviously does.
