Rule of thumb: drivers should leave one car length for every 10 mph they are traveling between themselves and the vehicle in front of them.

This may have been advice that could have avoided a crash in Wisconsin.

In the video below, shot on a dashboard camera traveling along I-41 near Green Bay last week, an idiot in an SUV is riding so closely behind another vehicle that it almost looks like he’s trying to perform a proctologist’s exam. And this isn’t just an episode of said idiot attempting to induce his victim to pull into the right lane where slower traffic belongs – there’s no opening in the right lane to pull over into.

And that unreasonable behavior on the road results in the idiot smashing his ride against the rail in the median…
