Arsonist Targets Remains of 9/11 Dead

Apparently the election of Barack Hussein Obama — who personifies appeasement of Islamic terrorists — wasn’t the final insult to the dead of September 11. On Saturday came one more:

A small fire at the temporary home for the remains of thousands of World Trade Center victims was likely arson committed after a break-in on Saturday, authorities said.

The smoldering flames in a section of the facility’s chapel on Manhattan’s East Side were quickly extinguished.

Firefighters got a call at about 9 a.m. to respond to Memorial Park, a weatherproof tent on Manhattan’s East Side where the city is storing the remains of 9/11 victims who have yet to be identified.

The fire damaged a wooden bench, while mementos — pictures, notes, flowers — honoring the dead disappeared. …

Authorities were unsure whether the mementos had been stolen or burned, “but little remains inside the chapel,” said [community affairs commissioner Nazli] Parvizi, adding that the structure showed some smoke damage.

Meanwhile, the festering sockets where the World Trade Center should have been rebuilt long ago remain largely empty.

I would love to see a nation wide poll on what should be done with the WTC site.

My best guess is that a majority would like the twin towers built back to appear just as they did prior to 9/11.

Instead we get Port Authority arguing with the man holding the lease on the buildings arguing with survivor groups arguing with "don't blame Islam for any of this" groups.

As Beck noted recently, the Empire State Building was built in the early 1930's in just over a years time. The WTC towers were completed in less time than has passed since 9/11.

Speaking out of turn on engineering, as I am not one, the reason the buildings came down completely was what I call the 'banana peel' effect. The outer walls were so strong that they could have absorbed the impact from the crumbling upper stories but they were not tied to one and other so they peeled away from the center core, but stayed together long enough to insure that the lower floors were also pulled away from the core and resulted in complete collapse. Just like peeling a banana. If the outer walls had been more strongly connected to the center core, they would not have peeled the building apart when they were impacted.

Some scum shits from the mafia looted barges carrying debris to the landfill from the WTC; essentially pickpocketing the dead. Now this. There are punishments not too horrific for some and they should be applied.

It sickens me that the towers have not been rebuilt. Maybe if they promise foot baths on every floor it will get done?
