The Decider Decides To Send 40K Troops. No, Wait, He Doesn’t
Written By : William Teach

We are fast approaching Obama being Coronated as President, and, he has finally made a decision on Afghanistan

Tonight, after months of conferences with top advisors, President Obama has settled on a new strategy for Afghanistan. CBS News correspondent David Martin reports that the president will send a lot more troops and plans to keep a large force there, long term.

The president still has more meetings scheduled on Afghanistan, but informed sources tell CBS News he intends to give Gen. Stanley McChrystal most, if not all, the additional troops he is asking for.

And not long after CBS News made that pronouncement, CNN and Bloomberg, among others, called BS on it, forcing CBS to print

Editor’s note, 9:57 p.m. EDT: The White House has issued the following response to this story, attributed to White House National Security Advisor James Jones:

“Reports that President Obama has made a decision about Afghanistan are absolutely false. He has not received final options for his consideration, he has not reviewed those options with his national security team, and he has not made any decisions about resources. Any reports to the contrary are completely untrue and come from uninformed sources.”

He’ll get around to deciding when he decides it is time to make a decision on deciding. Remember this artwork Barry bought for the White House?

He puts a deadline on every other decision except the ones that really matter. He said he puts a deadline on Iran and that keeps getting pushed into the future. I think sanctions will be in place by 2013 or after a mushroom cloud appears, whichever comes first. On Afghanistan, I think he is going to wait until after there is no possible chance for victory, then he might make a decision. But healthcare legislation, that he has to have right now no matter what it contains or says.

THis is what liberals call hope and change.

Not to threadjack, but I just heard that the two Korean Navies just exchanged fire.

“Not to threadjack, but I just heard that the two Korean Navies just exchanged fire.”

Hardly a threadjack Vega. We’re seeing the fruits of Obama’s “Voting Present” foreign policy. Obama is working hard to appease Iran and the Taliban, so Kim Jong Il wants his share too.

But I’m sure dealing with this crisis won’t fit into Obama’s busy schedule of jetting around the world to give speeches and go to parties.

  • William Teach

Obama doesn’t even have to jet around anymore. For the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, he sent a video, which, unsurprisingly, talked about himself.

I wouldn’t worry about the trading of shots by the 2 Korean navies, seems typical of their relationship. Lots in the media are discussing “heightened tensions,” but, there have been way worse incidents. But, it is interesting that this happens just as Obama is set to visit the region. I wonder how he will make the Korean War peace accord all about himself?

“Obama doesn’t even have to jet around anymore.”

Like hell he doesn’t. He’s going to blast across most of Asia to apologize for the US military in Japan and South Korea, beg China for more money, and see what else he can give away to Putin in his meeting with Medvedev. Then of course he has to gear up to give his Nobel Peace Prize speech.

Only our (soon to be former) allies are subject to Obama’s iPod diplomacy. Queen of England? Berlin Wall? You get an iPod filled with Obama videos. He’s got all the time in the world to pal around with terrorists and dictators.

I predict that Obama will announce a new strategy for Afghanistan, do nothing about it, and then 8 months later announce a new strategy for Afghanistan. Rinse and repeat.

It appears I misspoke above. I stated “He said he puts a deadline on Iran and that keeps getting pushed into the future. I think sanctions will be in place by 2013 or after a mushroom cloud appears, whichever comes first.”

I must admit that I was wrong in this. It appears that sanctions are never going to be put on Iran by Obama. I hope this clears things up.

“He said he puts a deadline on Iran and that keeps getting pushed into the future. I think sanctions will be in place by 2013 or after a mushroom cloud appears, whichever comes first.”

Sanctions? The Jews built houses, remember? This so outraged Obama that he made it clear Israel was to blame for derailing the peace process.

Iran will nuke Tel Aviv and Obama will sanction Israel to pay for fallout damage to Palestinians.

  • BIG

What if Iran sends a nuke flying towards Tel Aviv and it takes out Damascus instead? Of course the Jews will get blamed. The Arab world will claim it was the Zionists that did it and the UN will claim that the existance of Israel caused the Persians to launch the rocket in the first place.

I still say he’s holding Afghanistan hostage for the Health Insurance takeover bill.

  • BIG

I think he is still trying to figure out how to surrender and blame it on Bush. I figure only about 10-20% of the country will buy that story on faith, so he needs to come up with something to convince another 30-40% that Bush is the one making errors today in the White House.
