PETA Has An Issue With Comical Dog Riding Monkeys In Cute Costumes

Starting out the day on a lighter note this Tuesday, and proving yet again that folks on the Left tend to have no sense of humor

When the dog-riding capuchin monkeys are in town, people talk. (video at the link)

Philip “Dolce” Hendricks, owner of the Banana Derby, says his festival attraction tends to draw in the crowds and is a favorite for local media………

One of those cell phones belonged to Sam Budnyk. He and a friend, Chase Yakaboski, were appalled by what they saw.

Yakaboski watched the show three times.

“I just think it’s abominable,” he said. “It just seemed very inhumane to me.”

Wait, it was so bad he watched it three times? Anyhow, inhumane? Seriously? “Lacking humanity, kindness, compassion?” The little buggers are well fed and tend to live longer than animals in the wild. They get to travel more than most of us in the work-force.

Hendricks compared Yakaboski’s complaint to complaining that kids have puppies or farmers kill and eat chickens.

“I don’t want to make fun of the guy, but obviously he’s an idiot. Because everywhere I go, 99 out of 100 people smile and laugh and share the experience with their children,” Hendricks said. “I know in my heart and I know in the Lord’s eyes, I’m not doing anything wrong.”

Budnyk contacted People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) after seeing the show. He was not the first to complain of the Banana Derby, said Desiree Acholla, a spokeswoman for PETA.

Obviously, PETA went ape (sic)

The organization has kept a file of the complaints and reported Hendricks to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. They try to keep track of the Banana Derby schedule and campaign with the venues to cancel shows.

Get a life.

“I’m sure you can say that many inmates in jail are happy, but that is not somewhere people would choose to be. These monkeys are chained to the dog so they don’t have any choice. No monkey would ever choose to do this,” Acholla said.

Yes, this is the point where you put both hands over you eyes and shake your head in disbelief.
