Obama Shouldn’t Be Al-Qaeda’s Air Force In Syria

There are a multitude of reasons that Barack Obama should stay the hell out of Syria.

al-qaeda[1]

For one thing, the “rebels” are allied with Al-Qaeda and the Syrian regime is allied with Hezbollah and Iran. So, there are no “good guys” in Syria. They’re all “bad guys” who murder civilians, support terrorism and will hate the United States no matter who wins.

Democracy isn’t on the agenda either. There’s a dictator running the country now and if the rebels win, they’ll impose a dictatorship as well.

So, we have no interests in Syria.

Granted, it would be nice if we could stop any chemical weapons there from spreading, but that’s probably not an achievable goal. In fact, although it’s more likely that the Syrian government used chemical weapons on the rebels than vice-versa, we don’t even know for sure that happened. It’s entirely possible that the rebels are the ones who used chemical weapons or alternately, that both sides did.

Since that’s the case, what is Obama going to achieve by meddling in a civil war between anti-American terrorist groups other than aggravating other nation’s unnecessarily?
