Shepard Fairey, Creator of Obama Hope Poster, Wanted by the Police

Nothing was more emblematic of the Hopey Changey propaganda blitzkrieg that swept Obama into power than the vaguely Soviet-looking Hope poster created by Shepard Fairey. Nothing is more emblematic of how it has all turned out than this:

Detroit police have issued an arrest warrant for the artist who created the famous “Hope” poster in support of President Obama during the 2008 election, it was revealed Wednesday.

The Detroit Free Press reported that Shepard Fairey faces two felony counts of malicious destruction of property. …

Police claim that Fairey caused about $9,000 in damage while he was in Detroit to complete a commissioned mural. The charges carry a maximum penalty of up to five years in jail, as well as fines that could exceed $10,000.

Authorities say that Fairey will be arrested the next time he comes to Detroit if he doesn’t immediately turn himself in.

Lucky for Fairey that all he has to do is avoid the nearly unanimously Obama-voting hellhole Detroit — something most of us are only too happy to do.

In an interview with Esquire magazine published last month, Fairey said Obama had not lived up to the expectations he had when supported his campaign.

In fairness to the Moonbat in Chief, a demigod couldn’t have lived up to the media’s hype, let alone a mediocrity like Obama.
