You’ll Be Livid When You See What Obama Put Inside the White House [PHOTOS]

I can still remember[1] when Obama first was elected. I was horrified then and even more so now. The whole family is simply a disgrace. Obama and Mooch have been a nightmare for this country. When I see what they have done to the White House as well, it breaks my heart. It’s gauche. Below are photos of the Obama’s living areas. The last one is of the Treaty Room. What struck me hardest was a colonial flag… displayed… on the floor.

Amid the memorabilia and the trappings of the First Family, lies art that can only be described as tasteless. And that is being kind. I think it is atrocious and unattractive in the extreme. Certainly not befitting The People’s House. The Obama’s opened the White House to Architectural Digest who cooed and fawned over the decor. Bletch.

From the Daily Mail:

President Barack Obama likes to say the White House is the ‘people’s house.’ Now, the people are getting a look at the rooms where he lives.

Exclusive photos published Tuesday by Architectural Digest are giving the public its first glimpse of private areas on the second floor of the White House that Obama, his wife, Michelle, daughters Malia and Sasha and family dogs Bo and Sunny have called home for nearly eight years.

Los Angeles-based interior designer Michael Smith decorated the rooms, as well as the Oval Office. A mutual friend in Chicago introduced him to the Obamas after the 2008 election.

This is a study in the ego of Barack Obama. Los Angeles-based interior designer Michael Smith decorated the rooms, as well as the Oval Office, after meeting the Obamas in 2008. Michelle Obama hung a number of contemporary paintings in the residence, including works by Robert Rauschenberg, Sam Francis, and Hans Hofmann. She also selected two pieces by Alma Thomas, who is the first female African-American artist to have her work displayed at the White House. The photos also show that in The Treaty Room President Obama keeps one of his Grammy Awards and a photo of Muhammad Ali. So an ode to Obama himself and to a great athlete who also happens to be Muslim. Interesting.

Although the Obama’s claim to respect the history of the White House, they clearly don’t or that flag would not be on the floor. That’s a statement all by itself, trust me. Amy Astley, the editor in chief, said the Obamas’ personal style, and the history and diversity of the nation, are reflected in their art and decor choices. What a ‘Progressive’ way to say that the decor is just abysmal.
