Kanye is called out on Social Media, TV and Video

Kanye West deserves another award…[1] dirt bag of the year. It just has to be all about him. I doubt that Beyonce needs him fighting her battles either. West shows an utter lack of class. I don’t care about his music, or how rich and famous he is, or who he is married to. The man is a glory hog and an elitist. He shows no decorum whatsoever. Even after Beck graciously complimented him and refrained from calling him the loser he is… West jabbed that Beck should still give the award to Beyonce.

Kanye West went on another rant about Beyonce who he felt should have won the Best Album Grammy.

He last did this on 2009 when he felt Taylor Swift should have given her Grammy to Beyonce.

This time it was the turn of Beck to feel the wrath of Kanye. But the backlash was immediate.

And it’s true. Beck is an extraordinary musician and composer with an amazing track record.

Another response came by way of a meme.

No-one is denying that Beyonce is a great artist, least of all the butt of Kanye rant, the classy Beck himself.

“I was just so excited he was coming up,” Beck said after the show. “He deserves to be onstage as much as anybody. How many great records has he put out in the last five years, right?”

In a post-show press conference, the winner of 21 Grammys commended himself for holding his peace on the live telecast but said that Beck should “respect artistry” and should have given his award to Beyonce.

And Beck agreed that she deserved to win album of the year.

“Absolutely,” he said. “I thought she was going to win. Come on, she’s Beyonce!”

Beck’s reponse to Kanye’s suggestion that he’s not a true artist?

“You can’t please everybody, man. I still love him and think he’s genius. I aspire to do what he does.”

Even Whoopi Goldberg had to voice her concern:

“As an artist, Kanye, you know what it’s like when somebody questions your artistry.” “Everybody on that stage is a real artist, Honey.”

Garbage Singer, Shirley Manson, took to Facebook with her response:

Dear Kanye West

It is YOU who is so busy disrespecting artistry.

You disrespect your own remarkable talents and more importantly you disrespect the talent, hard work and tenacity of all artists when you go so rudely and savagely after such an accomplished and humble artist like BECK.

You make yourself look small and petty and spoilt.

In attempting to reduce the importance of one great talent over another, you make a mockery of all musicians and music from every genre, including your own.

Grow up and stop throwing your toys around.

You are making yourself look like a complete twat.

Ps.I am pretty certain Beyonce doesn’t need you fighting any battles on her account. Seems like she’s got everything covered perfectly well on her own.

And then there was this Kanye West Mashup to Beck’s 1993 hit ‘Loser’. Kanye West maybe a “Genius” but he’s no gentleman.

Let’s see… Beck plays 16 instruments – Beyonce, zip. Beck writes his own music – all of it. Beyonce has over a dozen writers alone on her last album. Personally, I like Beck as much, if not more than Beyonce. That’s just my personal preference. But she does have him beat in the bootie shaking category and the slutty dressing department. Maybe Kim should keep Kanye at home a bit more. Seems to me he’s awfully protective of someone who’s not his wife. Kanye has everyone beat in the petty, low life category.
