Yesterday Tomi Lahren Sued Glenn Beck – Today TheBlaze HITS Back [WATCH]

I have never been a fan of Tomi Lahren’s and frankly I’m not surprised that her stint at TheBlaze is blowing up. She has never struck me as a real conservative and her stance of calling conservative pro-lifers hypocrites just cements that for me. She was recently banned by TheBlaze. People keep saying it was over her coming out on The View as pro-choice. As I understand it, that was not the case. Tomi was unbearable to work with and made everyone around her miserable. She is the very definition of a millennial prima donna.

She is now suing Glenn Beck and TheBlaze for wrongful termination over the pro-choice stance. She also wants control of her Facebook page, which technically belongs to TheBlaze. She has millions following her and I am sure she wants that following to bolster her presence wherever she goes. There’s just one problem with all of this… she wasn’t fired. She’s still being paid by TheBlaze and will be through the end of her contract in September. She is prohibited from working for anyone else until her contract expires, but that is par for the course. She has no standing to sue.

From BizPac Review:

Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against The Blaze and its founder, Glenn Beck, two weeks after she was banned for flip-flopping her stance on abortion.

In her complaint, Lahren accused Beck of publicly smearing her “in a clear attempt to embarrass, humiliate, and undermine” her.

Lahren is also suing for control of her Facebook page, which The Blaze and Glenn Beck own under the express terms of her employment contract.

Lahren — whose contract expires in September — is still being paid by The Blaze, and is not allowed to work elsewhere until then.

The Blaze responded to Tomi Lahren’s lawsuit by saying it doesn’t make sense, as the Daily Caller reported: “It is puzzling that an employee who remains under contract (and is still being paid) has sued us for being fired, especially when we continue to comply fully with the terms of our agreement with her.”

There’s apparently a dispute over whether Lahren was in fact “fired” when she’s still being paid and under contract.

You do not pal around with those who are vehemently against your boss. Not if you have any sense. Just a few months ago, Lahren was calling Lena Dunham a murderer over the abortion issue. Now, she’s all for it? So, was her conservatism just for show because it made her big bucks and got her an audience? Hmmm… you have to wonder.

Lahren is spinning this as a violation of her free-speech rights, but employment law favors TheBlaze in this case, noted. TheBlaze underscored that Lahren was not dismissed because she’s pro-choice (as she claims), but arguably because she violated her contract, which says she can be fired for making her employer look bad or for offending TheBlaze’s audience. I’m sure there are other mitigating factors as well.

“[Lahren can be fired for] conduct or involvement in a situation that brings Employee into public disrespect, offends the community or any group thereof, or embarrasses or reflects unfavorably on TBI’s reputation.”

Lahren has become convinced she’s an entitled star. That the show is about her and not vice versa. Beck has not smeared her. He merely said you had to stand by your principles and not make it all about ‘me’. Tomi violated both of those things. Other than that, I haven’t heard Beck say a thing about this whole mess. I’m sure this hurts him. He gave her a break and made her famous and now this. Tomi is still a child. She has no foundation for acting and comporting herself as an adult. This was bound to happen. TheBlaze is far better off without her. Principles before age and beauty guys.

“TheBlaze cannot be about me, me, me, me,” founder Glenn Beck said.
