Majority Of People In New Jersey Buy Into Hotcoldwetdry

This should make the Warmists happy

(NJ.com) After a year of erratic weather, a large majority of New Jersey residents consider climate change and global warming a real concern – and they also expect government to start taking a bigger role in protecting the environment, according to a Kean University/NJ Speaks poll released today.

The possible effects of climate change and global warming were a concern for 71 percent of respondents in the poll, and nearly all of those, 69 percent, said human activity has contributed to global warming and other environmental problems.

The poll finds that a majority of Democrats and Republicans think government should Do Something over their beliefs. Which is rather funny, considering that NJ tends to be a big commuter state. The poll should have also asked

  • If you believe that anthropogenic global warming is a real concern, have you given up your fossil fueled transportation?
  • If you believe that anthropogenic global warming is a real concern, do you have a problem with your energy and food prices skyrocketting?
  • Would you be willing to live in a tiny little apartment to reduce your carbon footprint?
  • Would you be willing to grow your own food?
  • Would you be willing to give up your DVR and smartphone, as they use lots of energy?
  • Would you be willing to install a device that limits you to 2 minute showers?
  • Would you be willing to pay much higher taxes for virtually no reduction in atmospheric temperatures?

Ask those questions, and Warmists will start rethinking their belief set. Better yet, force Warmists to live the carbon neutral life, and the will surely become Climate Realists.

And then it gets goofy

Extreme weather was also on the mind of many of the state’s respondents. Some 48 percent of the people surveyed said the weather has gotten more extreme in recent years — most recently with the record-setting rains of Hurricane Irene last August, and the unseasonal October snow-and-ice storm, which felled many trees and cause serious power outages in the Garden State, among other events.

Got that? Early snow and ice is a result of greenhouse gases that trap heat. NJ is definitely in the running for most brainwashed state in the country.
