The Price of the Paris Climate Conference Buffoonery Could Be Stratospheric

The bill for the climate change summit that Obama laughably tried to pass off as a response to ISIS could be crippling, especially considering that an agreement was tentatively reached. If this actually results in anything other than further circle-jerk conferences, the cost will be astronomical:

The World’s GDP growth would drop 25 percent by the end of the century if governments agree on a policy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the Paris Climate Change Conference, according to an MIT study. …

If policies are adopted to reduce global temperatures, Mexico’s GDP would take a 29 percent hit during the second half of this century; for China it would be 31 percent; and for India would be 42.3 percent. The continent of Africa would also lose 42.3 percent.

The US would emerge relatively unscathed by comparison. It would only lose 5.9 percent of its economic growth for the second half of the century. The American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity used that data to calculate the country’s total GDP loss between now and the end of the century to be $430 trillion.

Don’t feel too sorry for the emerging countries that will be sunk back into absolute poverty by this lunacy. They wouldn’t agree to it if not for a fat payoff at the expense of Western taxpayers:

The world’s 48 poorest countries will need to find around $US1 trillion ($A1.39 trillion) dollars between 2020 and 2030 to achieve their plans to tackle climate change – and those plans should be a priority for international funding, researchers say.

As UN bureaurats have admitted, global warming is primarily about redistributing wealth from those who create it to the economically dysfunctional.

The advantages of taking lump sum payments from American and European taxpayers rather than allowing their own people to generate wealth should be obvious to Third World governments. It is nice to be able to distribute (or hoard) every penny so that it can be most efficiently used to secure power over the increasingly impoverished masses.

As for all this unnecessary economic pain having any perceptible effect on the allegedly problematic weather — if you believe that is even possible, please get in touch; there is a bridge across the East River I can sell you at a bargain price.
