I’m With Israel

“THE DESIRE to prevent harm to innocent civilians in Gaza will ultimately lead to harming the truly innocent: the residents of southern Israel. The residents of Gaza are not innocent, they elected Hamas. The Gazans aren’t hostages; they chose this freely, and must live with the consequences.” –Gilad Sharon[1]

The Palestinians willingly chose to elect terrorist groups to lead them. Those terrorists are now engaging in acts of war against Israel and using the same population that put them into power as human shields. This was just what the Palestinian people expected them to do when they put them into power.

Every nation, including Israel, has not just a right, but a responsibility to protect its citizens from people intent on doing them harm. In fact, if the government of Israel were to refuse to use as much force as needed to stop the Palestinian rocket attacks, it would be terribly unjust to its own people.

If the Palestinian people ever want to live in peace and actually build lives for themselves instead of trying to commit genocide against the Israelis so they can take their land, they’ll find willing partners in Israel. Until then, they’ll richly deserve all the terror, poverty, misery and suffering that they bring upon themselves by attempting to use terrorism and murder as a negotiating tactic.
