More Whiney Hollywood

To my reckoning, there are three professions people of below average intelligence can get into and still make a boat load of money. These are politics, acting and professional sports. I’m certainly not begrudging anyone who can make a very good living from a given talent, providing they just stick to what they do best and spare us all the political and cultural commentary.

As we’ve seen, one does not have to be particularly bright, attractive or athletic to run for office and win. To get elected it comes down to a matter of how well a candidate can lie, but sound sincere, sheer popularity and of course there is the ever-present race and gender issue. Yet many, if not most of these not-so-bright politicians still seem to be able to go in poor and come out rich, despite not being too bright. It is fascinating how many Senators become multi-millionaires after they are elected. Huh – funny.

And how else can a dim bulb like Sheila Jackson Lee get elected and hold her seat for 20 years. Lee has a net worth of around $1 million. That’s not rich by today’s standards, but for someone as demonstrably stupid as she, it’s nothing to sneeze at. She has been the poster girl for affirmative action her entire life.

Professional sports have far more than their fair share of multi-millionaires – most of whom are idiots. Again – more power to them if they are able to parlay their special athletic talents into a monster paycheck. The alternative for most would be no future at all. So shut up and play!

Then there are the thespians – the actors. Now, the percentage of stupid people who aspire to be big stars is probably off the charts, but it pales in comparison to percentage of big stars who are idiots.

A few days ago I wrote a column chronicling the idiocy of Samuel L. Jackson, entitled, “Portrait of an Ignorant Hollywood Liberal,” http://commonconstitutionalist.com/current-events/portrait-of-an-ignorant-hollywood-liberal/[2]where he tows the “bad cops” line of most black activists and describes Muslims as the “new young black men.”

These ignorant Hollywood stars are always whining about some perceived injustice. The latest appears to be pay inequity among stars and starlets. Oh, was that a sexist microaggression – having the nerve to call someone a starlet.

It seems the highest paid actress on the big screen, Jennifer Lawrence, who made $52 million just in 2015, is crying over the fact that she’s not being paid as much as her male counterparts. I don’t care for most of her work, but obviously she is appreciated by many. If it’s not an action/adventure flick, with an emphasis on action, count me out. Don’t bother me with a bunch of dialogue and poignancy.

And to clarify, her claim is a crock of crap. Her beef was over the Sony hack, which revealed what everyone was paid on the film, “American Hustle.” http://www.breitbart.com/big-hollywood/2015/10/19/gender-wage-gap-men-made-less-than-jennifer-lawrence-on-american-hustle/[3] “Lawrence worked 19 days and was paid $1.25 million for her work on American Hustle, in addition to receiving $250,000 in deferred compensation. She was also given seven points in profit participation.”

“Meanwhile, Christian Bale worked 45 days for $2.5 million upfront and nine points, while Bradley Cooper worked 46 days for $2.5 million and nine points.” In other words, whiney Jennifer earned $65,000 per day, to the actors’ $55,000 per day. Also, isn’t it odd that these same actresses all support Hillary Clinton, who consistently pays her female staff less.

Anywho, comedian Chris Rock, if you can call what he does comedy, caught wind of the young actress’s whining and had to add his racist two cents.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3379517/If-black-d-really-complain-Chris-Rock-weighs-Jennifer-Lawrence-s-pay-gap-essay.html[4]
“You hear Jennifer Lawrence complaining about getting paid less because she’s a woman – if she was black, she’d really have something to complain about,” the comedian said. “Black women have the hardest gig in show business.” So now it’s a contest of who is the most oppressed? Rock’s particular lament is in regard to a certain black female comedian, Leslie Jones, of Saturday Night Live.

One thing almost all big Hollywood stars have in common, at least the females, is they must be attractive. Like it or not, that’s just the way it is. Leslie Jones is black, but she is not what one would call petit or slender, nor is she attractive.  Sorry folks, but I speak the unvarnished truth. These are all okay for comedy, but it ends there. Again, it’s just the way it is. Jones, with help of Rock, will be starring in a remaking of the comedy Ghostbusters – this time with an all-female cast. Prediction: It will be a miserable feminist failure. In the business she chose, both Chris Rock and she should grateful she has gotten this far.

So, to all you actors and actresses – shut up and act, if you can – athletes, shut up and play. You folks just can’t be satisfied with your situation. Why can’t you just be thankful to be paid well for something you love doing? Injustice isn’t hiding around every corner.
Oh – and to the politicians – just shut up.
