BREAKING: Former Democratic Rep Found GUILTY For Fraud – Stole From Underprivileged Students!

Former Democratic Representative Corrine Brown has officially been found guilty after taking funds from a charity that was supposed to be helping underprivileged students.

There’s that Democrat kindness for you. They REALLY care about the poor communities, especially if they can use YOUR plight to line THEIR pockets.

Breitbart[2] did an excellent job of laying out exactly what crimes Brown committed while in office:

Brown, 70, was found guilty of fraud and tax evasion for spending an estimated $800,000 from the One Door for Education Foundation on parties, luxury vacations, and shopping sprees, CBS News reported.

A jury convicted her on 18 of the 22 charges, including lying on her tax forms and congressional financial disclosure forms.

Brown was indicted after it was discovered that she only spent $1,200 of the $800,000 she put into One Door for Education on actual charitable causes.

“Former Congresswoman Corrine Brown violated the public trust, the honor of her position, and the integrity of the American system of government when she abused one of the most powerful positions in the nation for her own personal gain,” Acting Assistant Attorney General Kenneth A. Blanco said in a statement.

Via her attorney, Brown again declared her innocence and says she plans to motion for a new trial.

It will be at least 90 days until she is sentenced, so she won’t be going to jail immediately. Even so, it’s good to know that there are people in Washington who are being punished for their crimes. Stealing from a fund that promises education to the poor is arguably one of the most disgusting things a human being can do in this life. You are literally taking opportunities away from the people you claim to represent because you’re a selfish cow. I can’t express to you how happy I am that she is going to be in jail before the end of the year.
