Gruesome: Family Severely Beats 14-Yr-Old Girl to Force Her Baby to Abort

A 14-year-old African American girl in Dallas was cruelly beaten by four members of her own family in order to induce an abortion, police report.

The girl had apparently been impregnated by a relative and the rest of the family didn’t like that. But what they did to the girl and her stillborn baby[1] is horrific.

After the eight-month pregnant girl delivered, the family tried to cover up the crime by burning the stillborn baby on a charcoal grill at a Pleasant Grove home, police say.

Cedric Jones, 27; Sharon Jones, 45; Cecila McDonald, 25; and Lonnell McDonald, 27, were arrested Tuesday on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity. They were being held in the Dallas County jail, with bail set at $150,000 each.

The relationships among the suspects and the victim were not clear late Tuesday.

The hours-long attack allegedly occurred in 2013, but the girl stayed quiet until another woman, who said she witnessed part of the assault, took her to a police station May 22.

The girl said she became pregnant after she was sexually assaulted by a family member in August 2012 in the 1200 block of North Masters Drive, near Lake June Road, according to an affidavit.

She told police she was a virgin before she was raped and “did not tell anyone about the sexual assault because … she was embarrassed.”
