Teens Trespass Into Waterpark, Using Snapchat To Document Entire Experience

Last Saturday in the early morning[2] hours, it must have been really boring for two 18 year-old girls in Myrtle Beach, SC. Logan Larrimore and Farren Lane thought it would be a great idea to break into a water park at night. And that is exactly what they did at around 4:00 AM last Saturday. They hopped the fence, used the slides and ate snacks. How do we know? They decided to Snap the entire incident. Then they posted the video to Snapchat.

And that is how the police found out what they had done. Someone took the video to the police; video which showed the girls using Myrtle Waves water park’s water slides and stealing Italian water ice cups to eat. These two social media geniuses have now been arrested.

The two women were each charged with one count of third-degree burglary and booked into the Myrtle Beach Jail on Wednesday.

Too many people seem to forget that social media is public. Whatever is posted will be seen. And law enforcement will be knocking at your door if you’ve posted yourself engaging in illegal activity. These girls are 18. This infraction goes on their permanent record. How will it look on college or job applications? Their shortsightedness will cost them, as they now have a crime on their resumes.

The saying goes that “nothing good ever happens after midnight.” And these girls are exhibit A. They should have stayed home and gone to sleep. It’s not funny to beak the law, break and enter, and steal. It’s a serious crime. These girls need to be grounded and have their phones taken away. And they apparently can’t be left alone and need to be babysat. Wonder what mom and dad did when they found out what their darling girls had been up to? Hopefully the punishment at home will be even worse than what the law will dish out. These girls need a lesson.
