Parents Walk Out on Speech When Principal Attacks Police for Killing Young Black Men (VIDEO)

I would have gotten up and walked out too[1]. There’s just no excuse for promoting racism and the hatred of cops from the podium during a high school graduation speech. All the while cloaking it in wanting love and everything good for the students, while promoting a divisive political agenda. I’ll bet that parents, both black and white, walked out after hearing that. And what about the officers who had children graduating? Think how they felt and how their children felt when this was proclaimed by the principal. Apology not accepted.

Belton High School[2] Principal Dr. Fred Skretta upset several parents during his graduation speech this year.

Belton attacked police for “killing young black men.”

I wanted to be a teacher ‘cause I wanted to change the world,” “I wanted to make it a better place. I’m gonna be honest with you, in a lot of ways I fear that we are not there yet. If we were there, we wouldn’t have conflicts between police killing young black men.”

Seriously?

Many parents at the Belton Missouri High School graduation got up and walked out after the offensive comments.

The parent on the video is exactly right. This was highly inappropriate and not the place for the principal’s personal views. He’ll be protected by the school system and the union and nothing will happen to him. In fact, they’ll probably quietly laud his courageous viewpoint. Imagine if this man does this at graduation what he puts out there during the school year to your children. Do you really want someone like that leading your children’s high school and education? I sure wouldn’t. I would demand he be fired for his offensive comments towards police officers. Once again, I say that home schooling and/or private schools are the only way to go with our children anymore.
