Taylor Swift isn’t just beautiful and talented[1], she’s wicked smart and she doesn’t pull her punches. She just won Album of the Year for a second time at the Grammy’s and without saying Kanye West’s name, she literally slayed him. After thanking all her fans and those who have helped her get where she is today, Swift stated that young women should know that there will always be people out there who want to undercut you in business and take credit for your success and accomplishments, but that you need to remember that it was you who put you where you are and no one can take that from you. This is in response to a new song entitled ‘Famous’ by Kanye West where he raps about Swift and that he ‘made that b***h famous’. Game, set and match to Taylor Swift.

From BizPac Review:

At the Grammy Awards show Monday night, Swift won the coveted Album of the Year prize making her the first female to accomplish the feat twice, and in her acceptance speech, she smacked down her longtime rival Kanye West.

“As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice I want to say to all the young women out there: there will be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments, your fame,” she said.

“If you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you,” she added, “someday, when you get to where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know it was you.”

In West’s song, he claims he had sex with Swift along with saying he made her famous. This ticked Taylor Swift off a great deal and she got her shot at payback during the Grammy’s. Good for her. Swift and West became forever linked in pop culture when West interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards — using the now-famous phrase “I’ma let you finish” — to say that Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” should have beaten Swift’s “You Belong With Me” for best female video. “Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time! Of all time!” West told Swift, as well as a stunned crowd at New York’s Radio City Music Hall and millions watching on live television. Swift was stunned when she won her third Grammy of the night, beating out Kendrick Lamar, Chris Stapleton, Alabama Shakes and the Weeknd. Record of the Year went to “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars, while Meghan Trainor won new Artist of the Year.
