HAH! Democratic ‘Rising Star’ Caught Redhanded in MASSIVE LIE!

Nate Silver, the statistician who famously predicted Hillary would win in a landslide[1] over Trump is even more famous for his outright refusal to discuss his political leanings. His blog, FiveThirtyEight, compiles and crunches election statistics and they first sent him to fame when he correctly predicted the winners in all 50 states during the 2008 election. Silver’s site only deals in numbers and given that his work is used by both the left and the right, it’s important for him to maintain silence on his political beliefs.

In short, he gets paid to publish the numbers, not to publish his personal beliefs.

So, when Georgia Democrat Jeff Ossoff started using Silver’s name in campaign materials, there were two problems: First, that Silver does not state his political beliefs, second, the quote Ossoff used was completely made up. The Democrat published that Silver called the race a “must-win” and not only is there no evidence for this, but Silver himself is fighting back.

Here’s a sample of an email sent by the Ossoff campaign.

The Blaze[5] reports:

Famed political statistician Nate Silver, editor of FiveThirtyEight, was not at all pleased to find out he was being used as a prop in Georgia Democratic congressional candidate Jon Ossoff’s campaign. So Silver publicly told Ossoff to stop — and did so with some choice language.

In a fundraising email, Ossoff claimed that Silver had made the “stunning announcement” that, “if Democrats want to take back the House,” then the Georgia Democrat “MUST win the Georgia Special Election.”

Silver hopped on to Twitter to respond to the campaign’s misuse:

So far, the Ossoff campaign has not responded to the many, many complaints. So far, he’s used the fake quote in campaign ads, at live events and even in his campaign announcement[8].

This isn’t the first time he’s been in hot water over a bald-faced lie.

Ossoff has a history of being struggling with the truth, according to the Washington Free Beacon.[9]

The Democrat once claimed that he had five years experience of being a congressional national security staffer. It was soon discovered that he had only five months under his belt, the outlet reported.

Ossoff, 30, is a former congressional aide and investigative filmmaker whose work has appeared on Al Jezeera.

With the election on April 18th, it’s important to put heat on Ossoff to alert everyone in Georgia’s 6th that one of their choices next week is nothing but a liar.
