Shutdown Theater: DOJ Takes Down Amber Alert Website

Remember, one park ranger told the Washington Times[1] that “We’ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can”. We’ve seen this time and time again during Shutdown Theater. Now, the Obama/Holder highly politicized, partisan, and unequal justice DOJ goes a step further

(NBC LA[2]) Instead of showing critical missing children bulletins, the federal Amber Alert website on Sunday displayed a sparse, white screen with a simple message: It’s a victim of the government shutdown.

“Due to the lapse in federal funding, this Office of Justice Programs (OJP) website is unavailable,” the message reads, just below a U.S. Department of Justice seal.

The website normally displays urgent alerts from across the nation about the most at-risk missing children, helping to connect citizens and law enforcement across all participating jurisdictions.

The website is still showing that message. The picture is a screen-cap I took at 8:15 Monday morning. Only 17% of the federal government[3] is actually in shutdown, yet Obama/Holder can’t find someone to run the website. Or just leave it running. It costs almost the same to leave the site running with that message. They’re playing a disgusting game. Which shouldn’t surprise anyone. But one which the media would excoriate a Republican President.
