During the election season, Donald Trump had a number of advisers and former politicians who supported him. And now that he has been elected, those people are being rewarded. One of Trump’s biggest allies was Ben Carson and there were rumors that he would be appointed to a position in Trump’s cabinet as well. But it turns out those rumors aren’t true — Carson himself says that he turned down a role[1].

Carson was rumored to be Trump’s top choice for Secretary of Education and Health and Human Services. But Carson’s business manager, Armstrong Williams, says Carson believes he can “best serve the President outside the administration.”

Other people being considered for positions in Trump’s cabinet are Rudy Guiliani, Laura Ingraham, John Bolton and Newt Gingrich. Reince Priebus and Steve Bannon have already secured positions in the Trump administration.
