BREAKING: Trump Has JUST MADE His Attorney General Pick! [VIDEO]

It looks like Donald Trump[1] has tapped Jeff Sessions to be his Attorney General. Sessions was a prosecutor before he was a Senator. He should be good in this spot, although arguably, Trey Gowdy or Andy McCarthy would have been better. Jeff Sessions has been loyal to Donald Trump from the beginning and will certainly be a massive improvement over Loretta Lynch. He will be tough where it is called for and will follow the rule of law, that I have no doubt of.

Two different sources within the Trump camp are reporting this and every major news outlet is running with it. So, I’d say the rumor is probably the truth here. I have always liked Jeff Sessions and his stance on immigration and refugees. He will carry that honesty and integrity over into the position of Attorney General. Something we very much need and haven’t seen in eight years or more.

President-elect Donald J. Trump has selected Senator Jeff Sessions, a conservative from Alabama who became a close adviser after endorsing him early in his campaign, to be the attorney general of the United States, according to officials close to the transition.

Mr. Sessions was also under consideration for secretary of defense, creating debate within the Trump transition team over which job he should fill.

Mr. Sessions, a former prosecutor elected to the Senate in 1996, serves on the Judiciary Committee and has opposed immigration reform as well as bipartisan proposals to cut mandatory minimum prison sentences.

You can just hear the Democrats and civil rights activists screaming now over this. Good times. Sessions is not a racist… he is an incredibly fair man, who respects and loves the law. He also loves America and her sovereignty. Deal with it. Sessions has referred[4] to the NAACP, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and other civil rights groups as “un-American” and “Communist-inspired.” I could not agree more. And no, I’m not racist… I’m as far from that as you can get. But rags like The New York Times are smearing Sessions as one… so much for changing their image.

I’m actually glad Ted Cruz did not take the position. It would have been a waste of his talent there. He’s far more suited to the Supreme Court. Earlier Thursday, Trump telegraphed his decision by praising Sessions’ work as Alabama Attorney General after meeting with Sessions, who also had been under consideration for Defense Secretary.

Sessions becoming Attorney General has the Left seeing red (which is ironic given most of their political leanings). It is a thumb in their eye and very appropriate. I love watching the political fallout in the morning, don’t you?
