John McCain Reacts To Trump’s Latest Military Ban

I was very sad to hear that Senator John McCain has brain cancer. But that doesn’t extend to an excuse for his idiocy in the Senate. I was not surprised that he took umbrage to President Trump banning transgenders in the military. McCain is a stone cold RINO. He says that anyone who can train, fight and deploy should be allowed in. No, they shouldn’t. If you are so mentally incapacitated that you can’t determine what sex you are, you don’t belong on the front lines in the military. If you are more concerned about a boob job, getting your equipment cut off, wearing heels and fantastic makeup, than you are in becoming a fighting/killing machine, we don’t want you in the ranks.

What surprised me was that Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, opposed Trump on this as well. She served and should know better, just as McCain should. I just lost all respect for Ernst. She is a 20-year military veteran who also serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee alongside McCain. Sorry guys… Trump and the Pentagon have decided once and for all on this and this horrific social experiment that Obama forced on our military in an effort to destroy our fighting forces from within is now over. Thank all that is holy that it is. You should be commending the Commander-in-Chief for this, not berating him. What’s wrong with you?

Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, quickly announced their opposition Wednesday to President Trump’s Twitter announcement that the U.S. military would not “accept or allow” transgender military service members.

“Any American who meets current medical and readiness standards should be allowed to continue serving,” McCain wrote. “There is no reason to force service members who are able to fight, train, and deploy to leave the military — regardless of their gender identity.”

He continued: “We should all be guided by the principle that any American who wants to serve our country and is able to meet the standards should have the opportunity to do so — and should be treated as the patriots they are.”

McCain chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee and is widely hailed for his service in the Vietnam War, during which he was tortured and held captive for more than five years. He recently returned to the Senate after being diagnosed with brain cancer.

McCain went even further and called the new policy “unclear” and said that “major policy announcements should not be made via Twitter.” And perhaps sir, you should shut it, retire and write a book. Maybe it would be best if you spent what time you have left with your family and left the military to people who haven’t forgotten what it means to serve in battle.

This is the statement that set Twitter on fire this morning: “After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you.” The President did the right thing here. McCain and Ernst are both out of line and should be ashamed of themselves.
