After three women appeared on Megyn Kelly’s NBC show to discuss their old claims that they were victims of sexual abuse and harassment by now President Donald Trump, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders had to face down a few questions from the press.
As usual, she did beautifully.
“The president has addressed these accusations directly and denied all of these allegations, and this took place long before he was elected to be president.”
Nikki Haley, the American Ambassador to the United Nations, said this weekend that the women “should be heard,” Sarah said that Trump says “it’s a good thing that women are coming forward,” but that he also “feels strongly that a mere allegation should not determine the course… [and that he] has denied [all] of these allegations.”
Reporters again spent their time not talking about the economy, or tax cuts, or health care, instead continuing on the sexual allegations, with one bringing up an old Howard Stern interview where Trump admitted to walking in on beauty queens in their dressing rooms. Now, I’ve worked as an entertainer for years. Been on stage, in homes, restaurants, all that, as a singer and dancer. Sometimes at stage shows, you will be partly undressed and a stage hand will walk in. That’s completely normal, because they’re only coming by to ask if you’re going to be ready for the call. So, I have a tough time believing that all this talk about walking in on beauty queens at shows is evidence of sexual assault.
Trump said of the backstage walk throughs on the 2005 Howard Stern show:
I’ll tell you the funniest is that I’ll go backstage before a show and everyone’s getting dressed… no men are anywhere, and I’m allowed to go in because I’m the owner of the pageant and therefore I’m inspecting it … ‘Is everyone OK?’ You know, they’re standing there with no clothes. ‘Is everybody OK?’ And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.
Sarah brushed it off, saying that she has nothing further to add. Again, the President had already addressed these concerns.
Recently, Sarah Huckabee has been under fire from Chelsea Handler. Handler, who is now the victim of the Trump Curse as she was forced to evacuate her home due to the California wildfires, has been busy insulting Sarah for her looks and “whore makeup” on her Netflix special… which will not be renewed for a second season.
And just for a treat, here’s a video from Monday of Sarah Huckabee Sanders schooling CNN’s Jim Acosta on fake news. When another reporter interrupts her while she’s in the middle of a lesson, she puts one finger up, keeps her eye on Jim and tells the other person, “I’m not done,” before finishing her brilliant two-minute destruction.
I have so much respect for this woman!!!
