MAJOR ARREST at Trump Hotel (Developing)

This is a developing story. A man was taken into custody around midnight last night. Bryan Moles, 43, from Edinboro, Pennsylvania, was armed with multiple guns and 90 rounds of ammunition in Washington, DC. They received a tip he was on his way to Trump International Hotel. He was arrested inside the hotel. I believe the guns were in his car and not on his person. According to media reports, this guy is a Trump supporter, but Trump’s security team says he’s suspicious and are on alert over the incident. I don’t blame them.

The Secret Service and other federal agencies are now investigating this. Police said he also made threatening remarks, but did not reveal what was said or who they were directed toward. Police say Moles was arrested and charged with carrying a pistol without a license outside a home or business and having unregistered ammunition. No one is sure why this guy was at the hotel or what his plans were.

A man has been arrested after police found an assault rifle, a handgun and 90 rounds of ammunition in his possession at the Trump International Hotel in Northwest Washington.

Bryan Moles, 43, of Edinboro, Pennsylvania, was arrested inside the hotel about midnight Wednesday, police said.

According to a charging document, police learned Moles was traveling to Washington, D.C., with a Glock 23 pistol, a Carbon Bushmaster assault rifle and 90 rounds of ammunition. Police said Moles made threatening remarks, but investigators did not disclose who those threats were directed toward.

Police found one of the guns in plan view inside the suspect’s car; the other was found in the glove compartment.

Moles has been charged with carrying a pistol without a license. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Metropolitan Police Chief Peter Newsham will provide more information at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The DC police chief said in a news conference that police and a tipster may have averted a potential “disaster.” However, the Secret Service said it had determined that Moles “posed no immediate threat to any secret service protectees.” Not sure what that means. Moles did not resist arrest and was taken into custody with no incident occurring.

This guy is a military veteran. According to ABC 7, “Moles reportedly told police he is a military veteran and suffers from PTSD and that he stayed at the hotel because he likes President Trump. It’s unclear if he posed any threat.” The police are not confirming that yet and they are calling this a ‘peculiar circumstance’. The guy didn’t do enough to be charged with threats evidently. I’m sure there will be more on this story to come.
