My grandmother was a Rockette and she would be mortified by this Radio City Rockette speaking out against a President-elect this way. Pearl said on Instagram that she is “embarrassed and disappointed” to perform at Trump’s upcoming Inauguration. I have a solution… fire her. I would never make someone do something they so passionately don’t want to do… so can her. It’s a win-win for all of us.
Let me get this straight… a Rockette, who wears very little on stage to perform, is embarrassed by the likes of Donald Trump. The irony here is thick indeed. Give me a freaking break. “The women I work with are intelligent and are full of love and the decision of performing for a man that stands for everything we’re against is appalling,” Pearl wrote. “I am speaking for just myself but please know that after we found out this news, we have been performing with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts #notmypresident.” If I were Trump, I’d nix the deal with them over this. I have no patience for these hypocrites.
From Western Journalism:
A Radio City Rockette took to Instagram on Thursday to tell the world that she is “embarrassed and disappointed” to perform for Donald Trump after the renowned dance troupe confirmed its participation in the president-elect’s upcoming inauguration.
New York City-based dancer Phoebe Pearl posted a photo of herself on stage dancing with the Rockettes and captioned a thought bubble next to her face that read, “Not my president.”
The post was accompanied by a lengthy caption, tirade, detailing Pearl’s disdain for the ex-Celebrity Apprentice host.
“I usually don’t use social media to make a political stand but I feel overwhelmed with emotion,” she wrote. “Finding out that it has been decided for us that Rockettes will be performing at the Presidential inauguration makes me feel embarrassed and disappointed.”
The famed dancers were informed by their union that they are not allowed to “boycott” the event, for obvious reasons. “Everyone is entitled to her own political beliefs, but there is no room for this in the workplace,” the email allegedly read. “If you are not full time, you do not have to sign up to do this work. If you are full time, you are obligated.” And in fact, it is their job. That’s okay… they can complain all they want as Trump fixes what Obama has destroyed. He will make their lives better whether they like it or not. And they can cry all about it for the next four years. #NoSympathy.
Naturally, Pearl has since deleted her Instagram post. Coward. Have the courage of your biased convictions, my dear. MSG Entertainment, the company that owns the Rockettes, released a statement earlier Thursday, saying that it was “honored” to be performing for the future President. It IS an honor and shame on these liberal entertainers who treat it like it’s a curse. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and 16 year-old former America’s Got Talent contestant Jackie Evancho are also expected to perform at Trump’s Inaugural festivities.
Pearl should quit and go to Miami for the celebrity anti-Trump concert. She’d be welcomed there. No one will be watching, but at least she would be irrelevant with the rest of Hollywood.
