The False Choice

Again and again the Trumpsters whack you over the head with the same rhetorical club: “If you don’t vote for Trump you are voting for Hillary.” This is nonsense. As RedState notes,

That is like saying either buy the Chevrolet or you’re buying a Dodge.

It is as if they believe that by hijacking a party, they automatically acquire the right to demand obedience from those who supported that party back when it stood for the diametric opposite of Trumpism.

Conservatives believe in limited government, individual liberty/responsibility, property rights, free trade, moral decency, a strong international presence, and preservation of the Constitution — none of which would escape being seriously undermined by Trump. If you value these principles, no one can make you vote against them.

There are other options. If big spending, authoritarian moonbat Gary Johnson takes the Libertarian Party out of play, vote for the Constitution Party, or don’t vote at all. Writing in Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho would be more constructive than voting for either of the progressive statist candidates.
