Trump Warned Us – Now Calls Made For George Washington Statue To Be Removed

President Donald Trump really shouldn’t have given them any ideas.

Leftists in Chicago are now demanding that a statue to George Washington be removed and the name of Washington Park be changed. Why?

Muh slavery, of course.

I love talking about the Founding Fathers and specifically George Washington. He is such a fascinating historical figure and his life was nothing short of absolutely miraculous. He was an amazingly pragmatic leader as both General and the first President of the United States, and someone everyone can look up to.

Unfortunately, Chicago pastor Bishop James Dukes doesn’t agree and thinks that all monuments to Washington should be removed, because of his ties to slavery.

Dukes is calling on Mayor Rahm Emanuel to remove[2] the statue and change the name of Washington Park.

“When I see that, I see a person who fought for the liberties, and I see people that fought for the justice and freedom of white America, because at that moment, we were still chattel slavery, and was three-fifths of humans. Some people out here ask me, say, ‘Well, you know, he taught his slaves to read.’ That’s almost sad; the equivalent of someone who kidnaps you, that you gave them something to eat.”

Hold up Dukes, Imma let you finish, but I gotta say, you just lied. Blacks weren’t considered three-fifths of a human being, their votes counted for three-fifths of one full vote. Why? Because otherwise the South (which had a significant number of slaves) would have had complete and total control over the government due to their larger population. This control would have kept slavery alive and well, just so you know, which is something you should think about before you start spouting lies in exchange for the pity of stupid people.

Dukes also claims that Washington isn’t much of a role model for black people. Who said he had to be in order to have his own statue? He is the reason that America is America and not a colony of Britain! This is absolutely ridiculous.

We cannot allow these people to continue attempting to erase our history just because it makes them feel uncomfortable. That’s not what America is about.
