How America views infidelity is changing – and it looks like it’s for the better. In Andy Grammar’s catchy new song, ‘Honey, I’m Good’ he explains exactly why he can’t go home with his fictional temptress (who apparently has a nice booty, as well)
From Huffington Post:
Stories of infidelity are so common these days, singer-songwriter Andy Grammer’s new single “Honey, I’m Good” is like a breath of fresh, monogamous air.
Grammer and his team posted a music video to YouTube, which features more than 100 real-life couples — crowdsourced via social media — who have been together anywhere from several months to more than 70 years.
“As a guy who’s out on tour a lot and there’s lots of cute girls all over the country, to just deny that that’s real would not be true,” he told The Huffington Post. “So I wanted to make an honest, true song about staying with somebody and in the end enjoying it. It’s like the best decision.”
Grammer and his wife Aijia Lise Guttman can be seen at the 00:21 second mark, in addition to other familiar faces including pop duo Alex & Sierra and actor Colton Haynes.
“I think that when you watch the video and you see people that have been together for 40, 50, 60 years — and that end little butt-grab by the couple of 70 years — it reminds you of that thing. That there is something really special and noble about staying together,” Grammer said.
This is a super cute, catchy way to teach kids that monogamy is cool. You don’t have to stray just because the option is there, and Andy does a great job making this an adorable and memorable message- and for once, its a positive one, for a change!
