People’s Climate March

Compliments of Stormfax.

As even the liberals at CNN admit,

Polls indicate Americans care less about climate change than pretty much anything.

That’s because we have more than enough problems that actually exist. Leftist ideologues can scream at the top of their lungs that “the science is settled,” but people realize not only that it hasn’t been getting any warmer lately, but that science is never settled, particularly regarding the collapsing theory that CO2 generated by human activity makes it be too hot out.

Even Steven Koonin, who has been undersecretary for science in the Energy Department under Obama and is now the director of the Center for Urban Science and Progress at NYU (not a likely place to find anyone right of center) confirms:

Any serious discussion of the changing climate must begin by acknowledging not only the scientific certainties but also the uncertainties, especially in projecting the future. Recognizing those limits, rather than ignoring them, will lead to a more sober and ultimately more productive discussion of climate change and climate policies.

All we know for sure is that the climate has always changed and always will, no matter what we do — which is why liberals changed the name of the phony crisis from global warming to “climate change.”

As Jon Gabriel has pointed out, not even progressive ruling class drovers really believe in global warming:

Their true religion is raising taxes, increasing government, impeding capitalism and reducing national sovereignty. Climate change is just a temporary excuse to achieve those ends.

But so long as the global warming hoax can be used to attack freedom and prosperity, they will still be able to assemble large mobs in its name, as New York City found out yesterday:

The People’s Climate March in New York has attracted nearly 400,000 people, say organizers, making it the largest climate march in history.

The People’s Climate March. The melding of environmentalism and communism could not be more obvious if the whole spectacle were a deliberate spoof. Personifications of these two malignant creeds (zillionaire global warming profiteer Al Gore and NYC’s Marxist Mayor Bill de Blasio) literally marched arm in arm down Sixth Avenue:

Although no one doubted that there is an ample supply of moonbats in New York, the large turnout is an alarming testimony to the enduring threat to our way of life from the far left. Presumably not all of the marchers were paid $50 to be there, like those passing out flyers for the global warming propaganda bomb “Years of Living Dangerously.”

Posturing liberal elite types like Leonardo DiCaprio and Sting traveled from afar to attend the march (spewing allegedly catastrophic carbon emissions every inch of the way) not because more than a few of them are truly gullible enough to believe that the weather is somehow a problem and that the government can control it. What they believe in is oligarchical collectivist authoritarianism — a.k.a. socialism. Even if bureaucrats can’t impose the optimal temperature, they can sure seize wealth and power in the attempt.

Wealth for the Al Gores, power for the Bill de Blasios. Both for Barack Obama, who is expected to continue imposing the global warming agenda through the bureaucracy and by executive decree. A promised seat at the table for all members of the liberal elite. Falling crumbs for the useful idiots who are stampeded like cattle into supporting the deliberate destruction of their own world in service to a malevolent anti-human ideology.

America will be brought down. For the planet, of course.
