Say America succumbed to Islamic conquest, yet someone dared to make a video critical of Islam. The President would noisily denounce the video. The creator of the video would be thrown in prison. Naturally, government authorities would demand that the video be removed from YouTube:
A federal appeals court ordered YouTube on Wednesday to take down an anti-Muslim film that sparked violence in many parts of the Middle East.
The decision by a divided three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco reinstated a lawsuit filed against YouTube by an actress who appeared in the video. The 9th Circuit said the YouTube posting infringed actress Cindy Lee Garcia’s copyright to her role, and she, not just the filmmaker, could demand its removal. …
“Garcia’s performance was used in a way that she found abhorrent and her appearance in the film subjected her to threats of physical harm and even death,” Chief Judge Alex Kozinski wrote for the majority court. …
The 14-minute film, “Innocence of Muslims,” depicts Mohammad as a religious fraud, pedophile and womanizer.
Now who would kill an actress just for appearing in a low-grade video?
Don’t answer that. It wouldn’t be politically correct to point out that Islam sanctifies killing those associated with resistance to it. It’s easier just to suppress the video, and to live on your knees rather than die on your feet – especially if living on your feet would entail challenging a “victim” group near the top tier of the liberal caste system.
