Australia Admits GUN CONTROL Is A Failure – Introduces Solution

Australia is learning the hard way that gun control does not work. In fact, since they restricted gun ownership and confiscated guns, crime is spreading and increasing. All major crimes went up after the new restrictions went into play. And the number of guns in the country has increased as well… because we all know that laws like this just create a thriving black market for weapons. The bad guys are going to get guns whether they are legal or not, one way or another. Many of the good guys will as well.

So, rather than reversing completely and legalizing all firearms, what does Australia do in their desperation? Why, they institute a buy back program. Yep, criminals can turn in their guns, no questions asked. I bet they are lining up for that one… not. Meanwhile in the US, gun sales are at an all time high and crime is at an all time low. An armed society is a polite society.

From The Federalist:

In fact, according to the Australian government’s own statistics, a number of serious crimes peaked in the years after the ban. Manslaughter, sexual assault, kidnapping, armed robbery, and unarmed robbery all saw peaks in the years following the ban, and most remain near or above pre-ban rates. The effects of the 1996 ban on violent crime are, frankly, unimpressive at best.

Violence Declined Stateside Without A Gun Ban

It’s even less impressive when again compared to America’s decrease in violent crime over the same period. According to data from the U.S. Justice Department, violent crime fell nearly 72 percent between 1993 and 2011. Again, this happened as guns were being manufactured and purchased at an ever-increasing rate.

The weapon of choice in Australia is a gun. Thugs will never give them up willingly and will always be able to get them. The only sane solution is letting private citizens arm themselves for protection. Not stripping them of their best means of defense and leaving them at the mercy of said thugs. Duh.

Australia’s restrictive gun laws makes criminals out of good people who simply want to protect themselves and their families. The media has lied over and over there claiming that there have been no mass shootings since the restrictions… Bearing Arms says otherwise:

At Monash, seven people were shot (two fatally) by a murderous student who was armed with multiple handguns. All six handguns were acquired legally.  The attacker was later determined to be mentally ill. The Hectorville siege that saw seven people shot(three fatally) was conducted with a shotgun that was legal under Australian law. The attacker in this incident was also found to be mentally ill. The Hunt family murders were likewise carried out with a legally-owned shotgun. The murderer in this instance was thought to be highly stressed due to his wife’s head injury.

Hillary Clinton loves gun control and hates gun rights. She praises Australia’s restrictions on gun ownership and wants to implement their failed gun buy back program here… so it can fail just as miserably. Just like her presidency would.
