Hillary’s First Act as President

Only the Devil knows what Trump would do first as president. Cover the White House in gold foil? Begin construction on a 100-story bust of himself? Nuke London because the mayor doesn’t like him? Shrillary would be more predictable. If the Justice Department hands down an indictment after she is elected, her first act in office will be to pardon herself for influence peddling and mishandling classified information:

The president’s pardon power comes from Article II, Section 2 of the United States Constitution that provides, “The President … shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.”

Oh good, Congress could impeach her; then she couldn’t pardon herself. Except:

The House of Representatives, as far back as 1873, has determined that a person cannot be impeached based on conduct prior to them holding office. In other words, House precedent says a President Hillary Clinton could not be impeached as president for crimes related to the e-mail server or the Clinton Foundation.

The best hope would be to impeach her not for her crimes but for pardoning herself, as that would arguably constitute an abuse of power. But getting two-thirds of the Senate to go along would be a challenge.

In her first State of the Union, she might quote a fellow Chicago leftist, the unrepentant communist terrorist Bill Ayers: “Guilty as hell. Free as a bird. America is a great country.”

Why she wants to be President.
