Sanders Supporters Call Get #DropOutHillary Trending

For all the consternation about a divided GOP, the Democrats aren’t exactly in a great place, either. The Bernie Sanders supporters are rather rabid, and totally uninterested in Hillary, for numerous reasons. Her Wall Street connections, her big money connections, her being less Leftist than Bernie, among others. So, what do they do?

(Mediaite[1]) Hillary Clinton is ahead of Bernie Sanders in votes and pledged delegates, and the hopes of some liberals that the FBI will take her down are, um, ridiculous[2], so now they’re resorting to demanding she drop out because… because reasons.

#DropOutHillary is trending on Twitter as the people-powered revolution of the Sanders campaign continues its quest to overturn the will of Democratic voters, or at least just make it clear they can’t get behind her:

Now, the notion of the FBI investigation is coming up big in Tweets from the Sanders supporters. It was also featured prominently at the Huffington Post, as H.A. Goodman says

Hillary Clinton Should Concede to Bernie Sanders Before The FBI Reveals Its Findings[8]

Millions of Democrats are voting for a presidential candidate linked to an FBI criminal investigation[9]. These voters either don’t know there’s been a year-long FBI investigation of Clinton’s emails, don’t care, or would vote for Clinton even she faced Espionage Act indictments. Potentially our next Commander in Chief will beinterviewed[10] by the FBI soon, as will her top aides. This state of affairs would never take place in any other leading democracy, but American politics is unique. (snip)

In the best case scenario, Clinton doesn’t face indictments, but the FBI confirms that she jeopardized national security. Thus, Republicans would make even the best case scenario for Clinton’s campaign a major political liability. America isn’t a closed Democratic primary, and Clinton would be on the defensive during every televised debate against Trump.

The worst case, per Goodman, is that the FBI recommends indictment after Hillary is coronated as the Dem candidate, which would hand the election to Trump. The funny part here is that Sanders supporters are concerned less with Hillary hurting national security and breaking the law than using this to pimp Sanders.
