BREAKING: Texas Says ‘TIME’S UP OBAMA!’ – Begins Process To Withdraw From ‘Refugee Resettlement Program’

Texas had threatened the Obama Administration[1] that if they did not institute sufficient vetting of Islamic refugees, they would officially withdraw from the Refugee Resettlement Program. Governor Abbott does not make idle threats. Good to his word, Texas has officially started to pull out. I applaud Texas for doing this and I pray other states follow suit and soon. The only thing that keeps me from going to Texas is my family, otherwise, I would go and not look back.

Although it is official now, guess what? Obama is still going to send refugees to the state. I suggest that Governor Abbott employ the Texas Rangers to intercept any that land and see them out of the state. Then send Obama the bill.

State officials bluntly threatened last week to withdraw from the Resettlement Program if the federal government did not “unconditionally approve” its amended state plan to only accept refugees who “are fully vetted and do not present a security threat” — part of Texas’ efforts to keep Syrian refugees out of the state.

“Texas has repeatedly requested that the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Director of National Intelligence provide assurances that refugees resettled in Texas will not pose a security threat, and that the number of refugees resettled in Texas would not exceed the state’s original allocation in fiscal year 2016 – both of which have been denied by the federal government,” Abbott said in a statement.

From Zero Hedge:

After taking in more refugees over the past 12 months than any other state in the U.S., Texas is threatening to exit the federal refugee program, effective 9/30/16, unless the Obama administration agrees to new security measures intended to protect Texas citizens. The demands by Texas Governor Greg Abbot come just days after the recent bombings in New York and New Jersey and in response to Obama’s recent announcement of plans to accept 110,000 refugees in 2017, up 57% since 2015

Abbott released the following comments on his website saying, among other things, that the “refugee settlement program is riddled with serious problems” and that the “federal government lacks the capability or the will to distinguish the dangerous from the harmless.” Abbott also took the opportunity to blast Obama for “ineptly proposing a dramatic increase in the number of refugees” in 2017 saying that the U.S. is incapable of fully screening immigrants from nations like Syria.

Texas is now taking steps[3] to remove themselves from the federal refugee program.

The Refugee Resettlement Program has claimed over and over that they vet these people. Everyone knows that is an outrageous lie. Just last week, one of their spokesholes said that refugees only have to pinky-swear they are upstanding citizens and then they are good to go. No background checks whatsoever. It’s a horrific joke.

Refugee services providers[5] and religious leaders have promised to continue resettlement efforts and condemned Abbott’s threat to withdraw from the program. As I said previously, refugees should now be intercepted and escorted out. Anyone facilitating them in the state illegally should be arrested and prosecuted. Finally, someone is getting serious here and I hope Governor Abbot follows through.
