Muslims Want “Racist” Christian Sign Taken Down [VIDEO]

In the last year in the town of Hood River, Oregon, a church’s reader board has been vandalized multiple times. The reason for the vandalism? The board is racist because it promotes Christian messages.

These reader boards are seen all over, usually giving the service times and a shortened passage of scripture.

In May of last year, a peaceful protest outside of the Belmont Drive Missionary Baptist Church turned more violent, as the protesters started to vandalize and destroy church property. The reader sign was changed with its letters broken and stolen.

In the Hood River News, Pastor Michael Harrington wrote to the editor:

Now someone had to come on church property (trespassing), break up and take letters (theft and vandalism) change it to ridicule our God and that is not a hate crime? Answer just one question: when if ever or what has to be done, short of killing a Christian, for it to be called a hate crime against a Christian?

He describes that the church has spent over $450 so far to buy new letters. He calls the vandals “Christian haters,” saying:

They called my God a bitch and told Him what He could do. I have called the authorities before and this was their reply: “Do you have a cover that locks up the letters so they can’t take them?”

The church sometimes puts up anti-Islamic messages and at different times the reader has said:

Wake up Christians, Allah is not our God, Mohammed is not greater than Jesus.

Only the Bible is God’s word, “Holy Book.” Koran is just another book.

He’s not wrong…

You can see an interview with the pastor here, where he drops this line:

“I’m not politically correct. I’ve never been politically correct, but I think I’m Biblically correct, and that’s what matters to me.”
