Israel has had it with the nonsense in Syria and I can’t say that I blame them.

Right Wing News owner John Hawkins’ explains in his new book, 101 Things All Young Adults Should Know[1], the wisdom behind the phrase “be nice until it’s time to not be nice.” Israel has been nice for far too long. Now, they have decided that it’s time to not be nice and I’m 100% behind them.

Their Patriot Missile System has shot down a Syrian drone this Thursday over the Golan heights, according to the Israeli Defense Forces.

This follows reports that Israel fired missiles at an arms hub being kept by Hezbollah, hitting their intended target and destroying the cargo being flown in from Iran.

Israel has made it very clear[3] that they intend to stay out of the war in Syria, but will not abide the transfer of weapons to militant Islamists who wish to wipe their little country off of the map.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also spoke out[4] about the situation in late March: “When we identify attempts to transfer advanced weapons to Hezbollah and we have intelligence and it is operationally feasible, we act to prevent it.”

Of course, Bashar Al-Assad didn’t take this information lightly and accused Israel of siding with terrorists. Ironic, considering Assad himself is aligned with the Islamic Republic of Iran, which sponsors Hezbollah.

There is no doubt that Syria will attempt a strike against Israel after this, but they risk poking a very big, very angry bear who they have tried for too long to back into a corner. It will be extremely dangerous for them to retaliate, but something tells me that won’t stop Assad. Hopefully Israel will be able to counter any incoming attacks and reduce fatalities. We’re rooting for you, Israel!
