Maine Governor UNLEASHES On Lawmakers: Prove I’m Racist You ‘Socialist C*cksucker!’ [VIDEO]

Maine’s bombastic Governor Paul LePage is at it again. And if you thought I would support what he just did, you would be wrong. This man strikes me as not altogether there, uncouth, crass and as a borderline racist. I agree that the majority of drug dealers seem to be black and Hispanic, but the following quote makes me cringe:

“These aren’t the people who take drugs. These are guys with the name D-Money, Smoothie, Shifty. These type of guys. They come from Connecticut and New York, they come up here, they sell their heroin, then they go back home. Incidentally, half the time they impregnate a young, white girl before they leave, which is a real sad thing because then we have another issue we’ve got to deal with down the road.”

That one could be somewhat justified and explained away, but this man has also called for this: “What I think we ought to do is bring the guillotine back. We could have public executions.” Do tell. Well, now he’s really stepped in it. A Democratic lawmaker allegedly called LePage racist and then denied it. That didn’t stop LePage from calling him and leaving a very politically incorrect message for him:

“Mr. Gattine, this is Gov. Paul Richard LePage,” the audio recording says. “I would like to talk to you about your comments about my being a racist, you (obscene term). I want to talk to you. I want you to prove that I’m a racist. I’ve spent my life helping black people and you little (obscene term), socialist (obscene term). You — I need you to — just friggin’. I want you to record this and make it public because I am after you. Thank you.”

Uh yeah… that’s called ‘a threat’ and it is not cool. LePage is an adamant Trump supporter. I guess he’s trying to outdo The Donald. All he is doing is embarrassing himself and Republicans in general. Yes, go after illegal immigrants and drug dealers… but comport yourself like the leader you are supposed to be.

LePage

From Mediaite:

After a series of questionable comments put him back in the spotlight,Paul LePage unloaded on a state lawmaker when the Maine governor sent him a threatening and profane voicemail that he challenged him with taking public.

The Maine governor is known for having a bombastic style, and he recently drew attention again for offering questionable commentsabout race while speaking about drug crime. According to Portland Press Herald, Democratic Rep. Drew Gattine was one of several legislators who called out LePage’s remarks as racist, though Gattine denied doing so later on.

A reporter for Press Herald ended up speaking with LePage and asked for his response to those who’ve given him the “racist” label. Lepage demanded who called him that, and he stormed off after the reporter indicated that he previously spoke with Gattine.

“I would like to talk to you about your comments about my being a racist, you c*cksucker,” LePage said in a message to Gattine. “I want to talk to you. I want you to prove that I’m a racist.”

It gets even better – LePage challenged the guy to a duel:

“When a snot-nosed little guy from Westbrook calls me a racist, now I’d like him to come up here because, tell you right now, I wish it were 1825,” LePage said, according to the Press Herald. “And we would have a duel, that’s how angry I am, and I would not put my gun in the air, I guarantee you, I would not be (Alexander) Hamilton. I would point it right between his eyes, because he is a snot-nosed little runt and he has not done a damn thing since he’s been in this Legislature to help move the state forward.”

Again, regardless of his semi-apology, this sounds like a threat to me. Is this what we look for in our leaders now? Threats and coarseness? This guy strikes me as unstable and frankly, I don’t like him. But Maine elected him governor… so to each his own.

I get being offended. I can relate. What I don’t get is the lack of civility and manners… being above what some socialist calls you or intimates about you. Whatever happened to taking the high road? This is the type of politician that seems to be en vogue here in the US now. It screams of anarchy, unrest and revolt. It is a very dangerous trend that could rip us apart. LePage is the quintessential Ugly American.
