MAINSTREAM MEDIA PROPAGANDA: NYT And Washington Post Made HUGE Mistakes This Week

by Terresa Monroe-Hamilton | May 20, 2017 5:29 pm

Ever since Donald Trump[1] started running for the Presidency, the New York Times and the Washington Post have run non-stop lies and innuendos about him. I’m surprised he hasn’t sued them. The two media giants have now allied themselves to go after the President – they wasted no time as he boarded Air Force One for Saudi Arabia. They put out rumors that a White House official has now been linked to the Russian investigation and that person is Jared Kushner. Just like all of the other lies, there is no documentation or proof to back this up. No named sources, nothing.

Another smear is that Trump told the Russians that former FBI Director James Comey was a “nut job.” They also said that Trump claimed that firing Comey eased pressure on his ability to conduct foreign policy. I doubt he said that in the extreme. I could be wrong, but it sounds totally bogus. As for easing pressure on anything, firing Comey did the exact opposite, so the claim is specious in nature. It’s dumb and totally speculative. They claim their assertions come from a document they don’t have, quoted by an official. That’s not journalism… that’s being a hack.

From Breitbart:

The common element in nearly all the major New York Times and Washington Post stories about President Donald Trump this week is that they are based on source documents the outlets cannot authenticate, do not possess, admit are partial, and refuse to share.

Friday’s supposed “bombshell” stories follow the same pattern. The Times reports that Trump told the visiting Russians that former FBI director James Comey was a “nut job,” and that firing him had eased “pressure” in his ability to conduct foreign policy — though the Times takes Trump to mean the legal pressure of the investigation. (That spin makes no sense: firing Comey created more pressure, which was so obvious the Russians joked about it[3].)

The Times describes its source as “a document summarizing the meeting” that was “circulated” (it does not say by whom). The Times does not have the document. An “American official” simply “read quotations” to the Times.

The Post‘s story[4], which reports that the probe into potential ties between Russia and the Trump campaign has reached “someone close to the president,” cites “people familiar with the matter.” That does not prove the story is untrue, but the sources are so flimsy that there is no way to have confidence in what the Post calls its “revelation.”

I’ll believe this crap when I see solid proof. Nothing the leftist media has charged Trump with has ever panned out. It’s all been lies. Earlier this week, the Post reported that House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told a meeting of fellow House Republican leaders: “I think Putin pays [Trump].” According to those present, the remark was a joke. But WaPo ran with it as gospel and couldn’t wait to spread it around. The Post‘s source was an audio recording of the conversation which it did not have in its actual possession and which it refuses to share with the public so that people can judge for themselves. They do have a transcript which actually shows that it was a joke.

The Times also published the now-infamous story that Trump had “asked” Comey to end the investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. The source was purportedly a memorandum that Comey wrote about his recollection of a conversation with Trump. But the Times did not share the memo and never even saw the document. It merely relied on a Comey “associate” who “read parts of it to a Times reporter.” Comey has not released any memos yet; they are being asked for by investigators and Congress. Again, until I see reliable proof, I call bull crap. This is nothing short of political propaganda. As Breitbart points out correctly, there are no journalistic standards, no ethics and no shame to be found here… none.
