Judge Jeanine Pirro and Geraldo Rivera had a spirited debate on Fox and Friends Friday morning about the threat posed by homegrown radicalized Muslims, and whether gun control is part of the solution.
Pirro began the discussion, going after the politically correct environment she argues the White House has fostered. “We have to understand that we can no longer be politically correct,” the judge contended. “The neighbors said, you know we saw these what looked like Muslims, and they were bringing in boxes, and we didn’t want to say anything because we didn’t want to be politically incorrect…that’s hogwash!”
“We’re in a new time right now, and the time demands that we say something,” she continued. “And everything that starts with this White House saying we can’t call them Muslim terrorists is intimidating us to the point where we’re afraid to say something…”
Pirro also pointed to the vulnerability the nation has due to the K-1 Visa program, which is how the female San Bernadino shooter, Tashfeen Malik, gained entry into the country.
Fox and Friends co-host Steve Doocy raised the concern of admitting 10,000 Syrian refugees into the U.S in that light. He noted that Malik was vetted, yet was allowed into the country and likely “radicalized” her husband.
“This is the perfect example of the government’s inability to monitor who’s coming in. As I’ve said before there is no way to vet a Syrian refugee,” said Pirro. “We are at war….The Muslim jihadists want to kill us,” she added.
Geraldo Rivera interjected, “I see it as a spectrum of danger,” and referenced Sandy Hook, Charleston and other mass shootings in the U.S. as examples of “homegrown extremism” on par with the killings by radicalized Muslims.
He then pointed to the number of firearms available in the country as a factor in causing the violence. “Three-hundred and fifty million guns in this country and more are manufactured every year,” he said. “It’s easier to get a gun license than a car license.”
“Yeah, it’s called the Second Amendment!” the judge proclaimed.
Political correctness is killing us. It is national suicide. Part of that PC insanity is not calling this radical Islamic extremism and terrorism. Another part is the witch hunt to seize guns and abridge our rights. Geraldo knee jerks that there are millions of guns out there as if it is the guns that kill and not the criminals who pull their triggers. We have millions of refugees coming in that are primarily Muslim and they assuredly have terrorists among them. We can’t vet any of them and we are rubber stamping the entry of God knows who. This won’t end well. And as it goes off the rails, the left will blame guns and Republicans for what they have done… they have not closed our borders and have brought refugees in that are bringing death and terrorism with them. Good for Pirro on trout smacking Geraldo. Lord knows he deserves it.
